  • At the time of engaging JHD Healthcare Partners (JHDHP), Advocare Physicians was in a leadership crisis which threatened our ability to stay together as a Group. Over the period of a year, JHDHP facilitated a Management and Governance restructuring, including reinventing our relationship with an outsourced Management Company, and transitioning to new physician leadership. JHDHP distinguished itself as being able to earn the trust of our physicians, and to thoughtfully navigate the necessary organizational structure, process, and staffing changes.   • JHDHP reduced a $12 million operating loss to breakeven, re-designed the physician compensation system for 260 physicians, strengthened the use of the supporting EHR and Practice Management Systems, re-staffed a number of physician and administrative positions and developed an integrated Strategic Plan.

  • JHDHP helped design and implement strategies to increase engagement with community physicians, consolidated employed physician organizations to develop a network strategy that would position the pediatric healthcare system successfully for value-based reimbursement.

  • Assisted a large multi-specialty independent physician organization (500 providers) in New Jersey develop a governance and management structure.

  • JHDHP helped implement outreach activities to increase alignment with community physicians and increase a community hospital in Illinois. presence.

  • JHDHP worked closely with a number of specialty practices to help them implement the necessary changes to improve financially.

  • JHDHP developed a comprehensive plan to clinically integrate three hospitals, 450 employed/community physicians, and a provider-owned health plan toward single signature contacting, managed risk for designated populations, and reduced the cost of care.

  • Assisted with the development of a Physician Integration and Medical Staff Development strategy that set the stage for both employing key physicians and tightly aligning community physicians to the hospital.

  • JHDHP consolidated 500 physicians and 110 practices (with tax IDs) using eight different management systems onto a single practice management system with a single tax ID with standardized supporting policies, a new fee schedule and a Central Billing Office (CBO).

  • JHDHP managed the implementation of an Electronic Medical Record/Practice Management System as part of a Clinical Integration Strategy and built the necessary supporting infrastructure for a network of over 800 independent physicians in southern California.
